St. Josephine Staff Award of Excellence
Presented to a graduating student has shown an ongoing dedication to St. Josephine High School through leadership, initiative, mentoring and overall commitment to a positive school climate. This student is a caring and respectful citizen who is hard working and strives for excellence.
Awarded to a graduating student who has above 80% average
Exemplified the gospel values and positive school spirit throughout their time at St. Josephine
Principal's Award
Presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated a positive attitude and has worked for the benefit of all students at St. Josephine
Vice-Principal's Awards
Personal Success
Demonstrates consistent effort in achieving personal academic or extracurricular goals.
Shows improvement in personal areas of struggle or challenge.
Sets and works towards personal goals with determination.
Positive Attitude
Exhibits kindness and respect towards peers and teachers.
Participates in school activities with enthusiasm and positivity.
Encourages and supports others in the school community.
Resiliency
Overcomes obstacles with perseverance and determination.
Maintains a positive outlook in challenging situations.
Demonstrates the ability to bounce back from setbacks.
Student Council Involvement Award
Presented to 2 students who have devoted time, effort, and involvement to student council
Supervisors of student council to determine recipients for the school - usually co-presidents of student council
Presented to a student who has exhibited leadership and a strong sense of school community
Diversity/Inclusion Award
Presented to a student who promotes the welfare of people locally, nationally and globally
Presented to a student who promotes diversity and equity to all
Student demonstrates leadership in promoting social change
Student must have volunteered with school based social justice initiatives for the minimum of two years
Student Success Award
Grade 12 graduating student
Student must be accepted/enrolled in a Post-Secondary certificate, diploma or apprenticeship program
Student has demonstrated a willingness and desire to achieve success
Student has overcome challenges in order to succeed
Department Subject Medals
This goes to student with the highest average in each subject
Valedictorian Award
A separate application package will come out for this in April
